Dr. Cynthia Christenson is a licensed Clinical Psychologist with more than 20 years of varied experience in the field of mental health. She graduated from Immaculata University with a Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology. She earned a Bachelor’s Degree in English and a Master’s Degree in Counseling and Human Relations from Villanova University. She is certified in Elementary Education and Elementary School Counseling.
Dr. Christenson has worked in the fields of public education, higher education, community mental health, wraparound services, and government. She has a broad base of clinical training and experience in outpatient therapy and psychological testing, brief therapy/EAP, and in the partial hospital setting. She has been trained from a psychodynamic orientation and draws upon an eclectic approach to working with the whole person. Dr. Christenson provides a positive, relational style in order to facilitate the client’s desired changes.
Dr. Christenson has an interest in working with children, adolescents, adults, and couples who struggle with depression/mood disorders, stress/anxiety, relational issues, spiritual issues, loss/trauma, Autism Spectrum Disorders, and FASD. She is a member of the Pennsylvania Psychological Association and the American Psychological Association.
