Meet
Mary Jo Hardick is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. She completed her undergraduate work at the State University of New York at Buffalo with a BS degree. Her Masters of Social Work was completed in 1972 at the University of Kansas. Mary Jo works with individuals, couples and families. She uses cognitive behavioral, psychodynamic, interpersonal and structural therapies. In addition, she practices and is certified in EMDR. She incorporates breath work, guided imagery, mindfulness and relaxation techniques. She is trained and receives supervision in the practice of Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy. She uses communication, attachment wound theory, conflict resolution and forgiveness techniques to improve and heal relationships. She is trained in the treatment of anxiety and depression, PTSD, panic disorders and pain related disorders. Mary Jo has experience working with the geriatric population dealing with adjustment to retirement, losses and confronting the aging process. She is credentialed to accept most major health insurances. Mary Jo is a member of the National Association of Social Workers, American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy and a member of the Philadelphia Center for Emotionally Focused Therapy and the International Center for Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy.
